ever baby goat weekend at Sprout Creek Farm in Poughkeepsie

The prelude to this new range is the Babies Goaat Weekend at Sprout Creek Farms on 10 and 11 March. As we know, it is overwintering - but farming lives on all year round. It' March is kid cub time and this is your opportunity to romp around the backcountry with a lot of these blurry little'kids'.

Located on Sprout Creek Farms in the gentle Dutchess County countryside, this two-day meeting is for those who have always wanted to live it up. Made from many award-winning cheese varieties, it is located 200 hectares just 90 min NY of New York City in Poughkeepsie, NY.

The BGHV Babycat Weeks are intended to give those taking part the chance to experience the newest inhabitants of Sprout Creek - the fleecy and jumping babies who call the Ranch home. Work with Sprout Creek peasants and teachers to milking and nurse the mothers of goats while they' re fed and romping around with a dozen of babies.

If you don't enjoy being around goat babies, you will have the chance to get to know how cheeses are made and to taste many of the cheeses made on the farms. During the entire week-end, students will enjoy a real kitchen from the farmyard to the dinner with dishes by Chef Mark Fredette, a Ph. D. from the Culinary Institute of America, with produce from Sprout Creek Family.

Saturday night our goatherds are learning how to combine Sprout Creek's cheeses with Millbrook Winery's own wine. Throughout the night, attendees can get to know their peasants a little better and enjoy Fabulous Farmer John's and Match Game's living musical accompaniment with Hudson's Trixie Starr.

When they wake up early Sunday mornings, to milking the cow and feeding the babies, the participants will have the chance to recover their babies' chat by attending kid brother-yoga before they head off to a big homosexual lunch with all their new mates. After a great overnight stay on the ranch, our mixed cottages allow our clients to relax in the Sprout Creek Farms bunks.

After a strenuous working days on the yard, everyone has free entry to our toilets for men and ladies with their own toilets and shower/WC. The Sprout Creek Farms is easy to reach via the Taconic State Parkway and has numerous free local car parks. There is no charge for shuttles from Poughkeepsie Metro North to Sprout Creek Farms.
