Westerns is a city in Oneida County, New York, USA. Western City is a city center of Oneida County, just off Rome, New York. It was first inhabited around 1789. Western was founded in 1797 by the city of Steuben. A part of Western was used in 1811 to found the newer city of Lee.
Western Town Library provides programmes for kids and grown-ups and the Historic Association provides presentations and activities for the whole town. Currently there are two Westernville United Methodist and the First Presybterian on Main Street and Stokes-Westernville Road. There is a United Methodist on Route 46.
For the last 4 years, the city of Western has organised the Heritage Days every year. Each year, Dr. Russell Marriot assists in holding a city service in honour of General William Floyd in the present Parliament. Corresponding to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a combined area of 54. 7 sq. km (142 km2), of which 51. The Delta Reservoir, also known as Delta Lake, is located mainly in the southwestern part of the city. In the 2000 census, 2,029 persons, 752 homes and 573 homes lived in the city.
