Visalia Rawhide sind ein Class A - Advor nien van A - Basel, Kalifornien, das der Maior nien, das der Arizona Diamondbacks angegliedert ist. Rawhide are California leagues. Rawhide have been playing their home matches in Recreation Park since their foundation in 1946. The city of Visalia concluded a million-euro refurbishment and extension of the Recreation Ballpark in 2009, backed by a 10-year rental agreement with the Ballclub, the longest rental agreement in franchising to date.
Following two years of polling fans, polling, focusing groups and player leadership, the name Visalia Rawhide was chosen by the squad, which represents one of the wealthiest farming areas in the word and the most important milk production area in the state. In the past fourteen game times, the squad has been known as Eichen.
Visalia Ball Club also maintains the traditions of Mighty Casey, the chief folk character of Casey at the Bat and Mudville Nine, and even wears the old-fashioned Mudville Nine uniform once a year as part of a turnback-production. It is one of the four oldest towns in the Cal League, along with San Jose, California (the San Jose Giants/Bees); Modesto, California (the Modesto Nuts/A's) and the early past in Lodi, California just off Stockton, which dates back 70 years to 1941.
Visalia Rawhide is a Holstein bull called Tipper. Tippers House is a ball games shed - a 40' x 20' bay that is part of the perimeter gate - duplicates collisions from the side of the shed, and home runs are landing on the rooftop, resulting in a new turn on the old ball games proverb "couldn't strike the wideside of the barn", which now depicts faint hitter instead of fierce jugs.
Traditionally, the communal stables were constructed to increase people' s consciousness of Habitat for Humanity and to be an symbol of the valley' s farming heritages. Rawhide is associated with many Major Division franchises. A smaller partner of the Oakland A's, Visalia Oaks were twice named during the film Moneyball 2011 (which took place in 2002).
The 1988 movie Bull Durham mentions Visalia as a manager for the ageing captor Crash Davis, starring Kevin Costner. The 1994 movie Little Big League features a Visalia Oaks flag hung on the walls of the protagonists' bedrooms.
