So where do the New Yorkers go on vacation? Strands? Hello all, we are traveling over to New York for 10 a day and I just had a quick thought on what other places could we be visiting? Preferably somewhere with a shore. So, I thought, where do New Yorkers go on vacation in America, where there's a bath?
That would help me think of places to share our New York vacation. So where do the New Yorkers go on vacation? Strands? Many beachloving residents take part in a Hamptons / Montauk or Jersey seaside house in summers and drive every other week.

Ifnt there is more than enough to keep you employed for 10 working nights, I wouldn't be wasting too much time/money going too far away - NYC has beaches/places to cool out, if you want a bad night, I definitely wouldn't go all the way to Miami.

We' ll come by in June and I've been exploring the beach because one of us really, really wants to take a bath. The Rockaway Park is located in New York City and can be reached by metro or a new-flyer. Then there' s the Jersey Shore, as I said before.
So where do the New Yorkers go on vacation? Strands? Rockaway is the best in town, especially if you go westwards. Fort Tilden tends to be full of Brooklyn hipsters every sundowner. Favour Block Island because it is more like a year-round place and because it has more diversified things to do (Fire Island is essentially a sandbank), but I think FI is the best place to go on a full-time outing.

The IMHO Flowers in summers is hell. I' ve got a retiring familiy there and both come back home to the northern part of the country for the whole year. Other places along the coastline, from Fland to Maine, where the climate is usually nice but the waters are very cool.
Capetown Cod has a lot of things to see and do, but the sea, especially on the oceanside, is a chill. Coming from Long Island, I was raised there and loved the vast sandy and cold sandy shores (once in Miami I went into the sea and I felt like a crayfish cooked).

Saying that, the mainland coastline is quite rugged, so if you are looking for beaches to just plan on then you might consider places like the Hamptons etc. Things can be quite costly and folks usually hire homes etc and its generally a week-end get away.
Folks also go down to the shirt bank. The Hamptons and the coast of Jerusalem won't be anywhere near the best shores in the US, but these are what's around NYC. You can visit the promenade and coastline of Conney in town.
