To many, Upstate New York winters are tantamount to snows, but that doesn't mean a nap. Featuring wintry attractions and pursuits, cosy guesthouses, skiing areas, vineyards and more, there are plenty of ways to spend the winters in Upstate New York. Bobsledding isn't for everyone, so take it a little slower with Adirondack Saddle Tour, which has been running Adirondack Wildlife Touring on horse back for over 30 years.
A stop at the Adirondack Winery in Lake George can be made on the way home from the ski to take home a souvenir. Tastings are held and it is located in the lovely town of Lake George. The Lake Placid made it' s way back in time for the Olympic Games in 1932 and 1980.
