In CORNucopia's corn labyrinth you can easily loose sight of things. Don't get started yet, though, because there's another weekend to savour. When you think of legumes and chowders, visit Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow for the CORNucopia Festivals in historic Hudson Valley.
The children will definitely get a boost from the corn labyrinth, and the visitor can take a walk around the manor house and the mill from the 18 th time. The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival (HVSF) has chosen to move across the borders of Westchester to produce a free, community-driven Our Town piece, a more meta-masterpiece that uses the members of the public as actors in the piece and makes the volunteer more than just an onlooker.
So, if you want to participate in an oversized art event, visit Peekskills Paramount Theater on September 3. Westchester's Picture House Regional Film Center hosts an international children's film festival throughout the weekend, where you can keep the children distracted for a few lessons while you sit down.
Also, the Picture House will show some quite great setbacks, like The Breakfast Club and 16 cushions, plus a few new award-winning films made for young people. Visit Lyndhurst this weekend for an exhibition that shows how women's fashions have evolved throughout time and how fashions and social role are evolving inextricably.
