New York Times (sometimes shortened to The NYT or The Times) is an US New York City-based paper with global reach and readers..... 9 ][10]The New York Times ranks seventeenth in the global market by edition. With the nickname "The Gray Lady"[13], the New York Times has long been considered a nationwide "newspaper of records" in the sector.

The paper began producing on-the-spot supplements in 2009 in regions outside the New York region. Adolph Ochs purchased the New York Times, a money-losing paper, in 1896 and founded the New York Times Company. Since then, the Ochs-Sulzberger dynasty, one of the United States' major newspapers, has been in the possession of the New York Times.

36 ] The company went publicly on January 14, 1969 and traded at 42 dollars per stock on the American stock exchange. Contains Art, Movies, Theatre, Travel, NYC Guide, Food, Home & Garden, Fashion & Style, Crosswords, The New York Times Book Review, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, The New York Times Magazine and Sunday Review.

New York Times International Edition is a printed edition of the newspaper for non-U.S. audiences. The New York Times, formerly a fully-owned Washington Post/United Nations JV called The International Herald Tribune, acquired the stock in 2002 and progressively strengthened its integration into its national business.
