BFF and I had a little holiday at the resort together and had a great one! So we took one of the cookery courses, the bistro, and it was incredible! We were amazed at the overall picture of the hotels, accommodation and comforts! Reception and the tavern host were not very comfortable, which was a surprise due to my friend's experience.
It took them over an hours to talk to the reservations office, who told me that they were oversbooked, and they didn't realize that I had traveled with a hostess, so they didn't think I would disturb the smaller room (and I actually did travel with my man, but that was next to the point where I had reserved and prepaid a room that they had taken from me and STILL billed me the originally higher rate without informing me of the change).
That was the most monstrous comments I had ever received from a motel. I have never been booked into a smaller, cheaper room that I did not get without being notified by a local tourist office or to make up the cost of the two rooms; but on top of that it was a shock to be assessed on my perceptions of how I was planning to go (i.e. whether I had a host family on me or not).
So we didn't spend much of our room instead of arguing with them about a different room layout. Coworkers seemed overpowered the whole week-end, they didn't seem able to deal with fundamental inquiries. A self-appointed gastronomic resort's diet was below average. We love our sojourn here - we got a great prize by Hotel Tonight, which was half the cost of their website.
Wonderful restaurant, lovely area, the room was very lovely and the personnel was kind! The tavern was very good. Enjoy the relaxed ambience during my brief sojourn. The reason we decided on this establishment was that it looked like the ideal place to relax without our newborn. No, not chilly. There was also a click and a bang all later in the night....not soothing.
We' had planned a couple massages and during our massages the sound was disturbed so that the room was quiet and you could only listen to four persons breathe all the while..... not relax. Most of the while we were in the city, not trying the meal from the hotels, but definitely not the relaxed surroundings we were looking for.
The next one we would be better off sticking to Burlington and not going back and forth because we don't think the high price here was really good or gave us what we wanted. Cookery lessons are good, but the meals in the restaurants are in between. Afterwards, the employees came to clean the hoods, but I wish they had cleaned them before we got here.
Wi-Fi often does not work and the reception is not helpful: "There is nothing we can do against Wi-Fi, we do not get good services here". The area has many more beautiful resort and/or B&Bs than this place. Essex is a great week-end trip.
I' ve been here three stays, and it gets better every single one! Well, I was here last week-end. The new café / wines on offer at the reception is particularly appealing to me. I' ve not tried their cookery courses yet, but the two local places are always very pleasant. Nutrition is good for you.
Somehow a strange reception! Wonderful meals in the taverna, the course was wonderful, basketball/tennis, swimming pool, sauna are including. This spa is easily accessed and very affordable as a resort spa. The personnel was very kind and courteous. I' d suggest a trip for the week.
Last July 2016 I had brunch at the Essex. When I was at Vermont I needed a little rest and some appetising meals to comfort my souls. It was found in Essex that night. I was fascinated when I got there by the luxuriant soils covered by the splendour of the countryside and the wonderful, sun-drenched cathedrals.
It was a gulf between the early 1900s and the hugging 21st century. I am always a little nervous when I try a new place for the first one, but as soon as my boyfriend and I were welcomed nicely and invitingly, I immediately felt comfortable.
It was very professionally and attentively, it took itself even the liberty for a warm discussion with us. Now, the meal, I ordered the lime cakes, and I asked for a portion of berries and straighteners. I' m going back to Essex! Cosy bedding, large rooms, welcoming personnel, whirlpool, swimming pools, Burlington next door.
The culinaric scent stays in your room, my spa experiences were below average this year, the amount credited to your bankroll is forfeited, the accident cash lasts longer to be returned to your bankroll and then reimbursed. Generally, $140 paid for a $60 massage (which the front desktop personnel forgotten to write $25 back to my bankroll for) and $497 for a $297 room refund for $25 still came back pending for my $200 I probably won't ever come back, the facility seems to be struck or miss.
As a B&B The taller man at the reception seemed to conjure every single times I saw him. It is a great treasure hideaway for travellers and natives equally. They will be emboldened to remain as long as they wish and the restaurant (you have the choice!) will serve you dinner!
We were luxuriously relaxing and our treatment was the best facials I ever had (and I visit spa facilities on a regular basis, several of them in the Stowe area) and my mother-in-law had the same time. Our welcoming personnel were courteous and courteous and advised us very well in the selection of our work.
I recently had a long week-end there. I thought the personnel were very kind and courteous. All in all a great long week-end! It' s very comfortable to Burlington, which was great in regards to delicious dining, shops and museuses. This tavern is comfortable and the meals are good, but not what I would call a gastronomic resort.
and my mom used to buy us at Groupon for Christmas. At the reception we also had to ask for bathrobes and handcloths, as they only contained two. This is not a good signal for eating out of a gastronomic resort!
For a self-appointed gastronomic "resort", client services are nasty. Reception doesn't want to be disturbed, and half the times there is no local management. I mean, we were in Essex on our autumn color trip and we used to love it! There is obviously a gastronomic ambience and decoration in the rooms and the scent of good eating through the hall reeked celestial.
and the barkeepers were great! The meal was good too! In any case, I would definitely be recommending this resort to others on the basis of our experiences. Taverna on site: fantastic. Gastronomic class: more. Well, the meal was good. It' s definitely a worthwhile trip - but jump over the cooking lessons. Otherwise I do not hesitate to suggest the resort.
