A new fashion that is appearing all over Hudson Valley is a great way to have a little creativity with your husband! There are many places where you can find diptychs (1 picture on 2 canvases) for couple-parties. The other popular lanes are Pat Tarsio Lanes, Newburgh, Colonial Lanes, Chester and Hoe Bowl Family Fun with sites in Poughkeepsie, Wappingers & Catskill. Whatever the time of year, the Hudson Valley is full of scenic beauty and romance. Walk through Olana State History Site a now historical icon was once a house a studios to Hudson River School Painter Frederic Edwin Church.
It is a Persian-style manor house full of beautiful works of artwork from around the globe with stunning vistas of the Hudson Valley. Alternatively, perhaps on a less draughty or warm summer days, you could enjoy the stunning view of the Hudson with a walk across the world's biggest footbridge spanning the Hudson Riverbre.
Go on an excursion to the poet's walks Red Hook, where you and your beloved can go snowshoeing, walks or hikes on the idyllic creeks. It meanders through idyllic forests full of bridges, banks and pavilions - so romantically that it was not called Poet's Walks for nothing. Stony fires, subdued light and cosy edges define the atmosphere for a hot, relaxing dinner.
As I' m busy with shit and glanders every day, it's a pleasure to be spoiled in one of the many wonderful spa resorts in the Hudson Valley. One great date evening (though rather a rather unusual event, I suppose...) would be a visit to the spa at the Emerson Resort & Spa in Mt. Tremper.
One beautiful overnight or a romantically relaxing week-end away, the Emerson has food, beautiful rooms, a dying spas and America's largest kaleidoscope! The other popular weekend/date nightclub would be a couple pack at the Buttermilk Spas and then dinner at Henry's Farm. In the midst of the mountain and the snows, you' ll enjoy a glittering glow as you skate your way through the city.
You will then go to the country-style Bärenberg, where you can warm yourself by the fire and have a tasty supper. When you' re further to the valley south, I suggest you spend an evenings at Mohonk Mountain House. Soak up the fun in the hot tub and/or get changed (i.e. no spitting clothing or sweating!) and share a relaxing meal together.
There are no children, but peace is still not your thing, drive to one of the great places in the Hudson Valley to listen to it. Attend a show at the Bardavon in Poughkeepsie or have a cocktail and listen to your favourite places like the Hudson in Poughkeepsie, La Puerta Azul in Millbrook, Brothers BBQ in Cornwall, Aroma Thyme Bistro in Ellenville, Elsie's Place in Wallkill or Pamela's on the Hudson in Newburgh.
