is one of the hot spots this summer. So many free events, funny festivities and thrilling rides for the whole host families that you will never want to be out. If you are going to do so, here are a few things you can do at New York Labor Day Weekend.
The New York City Explorer Pass gives you access to a number of these rides on a recurring basis. Some of these summer events can be booked seperately and are not available on the Explorer Pass. Central Park, one of the nation's most popular city park, is regarded by many as the real heartland of Manhattan.
Covering almost 850 hectares, it is packed with everything from pick nick areas and ball games to works of artwork and rides such as Central Park Carousel, ice rinks and more. One pleasant way to enjoy a hot summer holiday is to cycle through Central Park.
On the trails of Central Park, to the world-famous museum mile or just where your hearts desire! The Central Park Bike Rentals are optionally available with the New York City Explorer Pass. Situated next to Central Park, the American Museum of Natural History is a favourite of the whole hosts.
There are also a number of temporary programmes and temporary exhibits that take place during the summer season, such as the exciting Titanosaurian exhibition, a novelty in the fossil halls that everyone raves about. Admission to the American Museum of Nature is available with an optional New York City Explorer Passport; Mummy Knows Best is sold seperately and is not part of the passport.
It is certainly a must for those who love museums and want to do something in New York in the summer. In addition, there are several temporary exhibitions this summer, ranging from paintings to photographs and sculptures. New York City Explorer Pass is an optional extra for your New York City Explorer ticket.

In summer the Met also organises temporary shows on its roof gardens, so take a look at them. For lovers of fashionable and contemporaneous arts, the Met Breuer is an outstanding choice. If you use your passport for a selection and then get free entry for the other two! Celebrate your summer glamour while enjoying the sundown and a complimentary beverage as you view this busy town from a seaview. Schooner Sail passes are optionally available with the New York explorer-passport.
While there are a dozen routes to chose from - TV or film, dining and culture trips - the Brooklyn Bridge walk is one of our favourites. The Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO Wandering Touro tickets are optionally available with the New York City Explorer Pass.
If you are in the Bronx, another funny alternative for those who enjoy the outdoors and the botanic garden, is the New York Botanic Garden. The Brooklyn Museum and Botanic Garden and the New York Botanic Garden are available with the New York City Explorer Pass. That' s why a led meal on foot tour is a great concept!
This allows you to taste a multitude of New York delicacies, with an emphasis on the kitchen, the neighbourhood or the way of eating. There are also funny folklore events, a movie fest, a hip-hop show, information presentations and grocery and clothing suppliers. Brooklyn Hip-Hop is sold seperately and is not part of the New York City Explorer Pass.
An event is rainy or sunny, so don't miss to take a rug or canopy. SummerStage has been taking place in Central Park every year since 1986 and is an art and cultural event for local people and people. Initially conceived in the Central Park quest to be a free community asset to enhance the life of New Yorkers, the event is now continuing as a great summer event for New Yorkers of all ages. New Yorkers from all over the world are invited to join the group.
Sumer Stage shows are free, although selected charity shows are subject to availability (not with the New York City Explorer Pass). The Delacorte Theatre, Central Park. The Shakespeare in the Park shows are free. Some things you can do in NYC in summer, include some specific events and other summer activites in June, July, August and September.
However, the summer events that take place at some of these rides can be booked seperately and are not available with the Go NYC Card. Hopefully you are considering including some of these funny things in your summer holiday programme.
