Coyot caught in New York State Museum

Bureaucracy caught a fierce coyot on Tuesday on a middle level in the New York State Museum's 4th story in Albany - but they can't find out how he got there. "The beast is under control," said state police spokesperson William Duffy. It is linked to the Capitol by an subterranean passage known as the Concours.

This museum shows artifacts from the state of New York's past - and contains padded copies of some of the native wildlife, among them cojotes, chestnuts and cetaceans. It is a common destinations for educational excursions and the edifice houses records of the state governor.

This is part of the Erie Canal that once passed through the arsenal. It is a rebuilt nineteenth c. town on the site where the Erie Canal was originally begun on 4 July 1817.
