BayBears will move to Madison, Alabama, in 2020. BayBears franchises were established in 1976 in Charlotte, North Carolina, first as Charlotte Orioles and then as the first Charlotte Knights incarnate. As Charlotte became a Triple-A franchisee in 1993, the Nashville Xpress found a permanent home in Nashville, Tennessee from 1993 to 1994.
The Port City Roosters in Wilmington, North Carolina, were in existence from 1995 to 1996. In 1997 the deductible rate ended up in Mobile. The Mobile BayBears matches will be broadcast on MiLB.TV. Moblie has won the Southern League in 1998, 2004, 2011 and 2012, but has worked hard to keep the supporters coming back to Hank Aaron Stadium. BayBears finished last in the 10-man Southern League in 2017 with an annual audience of 1,498.
