Dutchess County Africa American Clergy Association (SCAACA) will hold the 48th yearly memorial worship for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at 7:00 pm on January 14th at Beulah Baptist Church, 92 Catharine St., Poughkeepsie. Visiting lecturer is Reverend Dr. Weldon McWilliams, Minister of the Christ Temple Baptist Church, Paterson, N.J. and Associate Professorship of Science and Literature at Dutchess Community College.

Mr. Matter is also a founder member of the Rockland County Clergy for Social Justice and Black Levers Matter Lower Hudson Valley chapter. Catharine Street Community Center, Poughkeepsie, will hold its twenty-seventh anniversary breakfasts at Mid-Hudson Civic Center, 14 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie. Mr. Barnes was honoured by the Associated Press, New York State Broadcasters Association and was awarded the New York Association of Black Journalist Trailblazer Prize.

Dutchess County Scotish Society will host its 103th anniversary Robert Burns Supper in honour of the famous Scotch lyric. It will take place on 20 January at Villa Borghese, 70 Widmer Road, Wappingers Falls. Bard College Fisher Center and the Catskill jazz factory will present a programme of concerts entitled "Classical, Jazz and Soul: A Musical Offering" with Damien Sneed, piano player, director, composition.
