Hudson Valley Autumn Leaf Tours - New York City Tours
Looking for an excursion during your NYC-journey? Don't miss our autumn holiday ride on the Palisades to West Point. It will be one of the high points of your journey. Autumn leaves in the Hudson Valley are one of nature's natural gems. Drive over the mighty George Washington Brigde, called "the most magnificent brigde in the world" by Le Corbusier.
We begin our trip seriously on the Palisades Parkway, which leads along the 550 foot high palisades along the Hudson River. Traverse lush leaves that turn yellow, orange and red. Stop at the Lookout Inn, the highest point of the Palisades. We continue our hike past Bear Mountain, the former site of the first US skiing hill, and then we pass the Bear Mountain Brigde, the first Hudson between New York and Albany.
Right behind the site of the Revolutionary Battle of Fort Montgomery we go to West Point. Stop for a snack in the picturesque West Point and drive back to the village, past kilometres of colourful maple, aspen, oak, dogwood, hickory and birch covered hilltops.
