The Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union Chairman's Awards were presented to Kelly Chermak for TALENT, as Gary Anderson, Chairman of the Board, commented. In order to motivate staff to go beyond this and to recognize their engagement with MHV, Anderson retains the value of the MHV. The TALENT brand is an abbreviation representing the following attributes: Top Performance, Availability, Leadership, Energy, New Vision and Teamwork.
Kelly was presented with the prize by the Chairman at the February 11 BoD session. She began her professional life at MHV 5 1/2 years ago as a Business Loan Underwriter and has since become Business Services Coordinator. It is in charge of the credit control of professional credits, making sure that the subscription directives comply with the directives of the credit cooperatives and the legal requirements.
She has been a Business Services Leadership since joining the cooperative. Kelly took over the huge task of rewriting the process handbook for the division in 2014. The Kelly is available to employees and members who have a question or problem at any time and assumes responsibility until the end.
Employees don't have any hesitation in approaching Kelly when they have problems with business clients and think she is very open-minded. Kelly's Vice President of Business Services, John Dwyer, explains: "Kelly is a very professionally representing the cooperative with employees, salespeople, and most importantly, members," Kelly is a Arlington High School alumna.

KINGSTON, N.Y. -- PCH Federal Credit Association, a finance institute with one associate and $1.6 million in capital goods, has amalgamated with the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Association, a much bigger organisation, an officer said Tuesday. The Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union's Chief Marketer Lisa Morris said the deal came into effect on October 1.
PCH Federal Credit Union is based in the Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel and has been supporting staff there for 40 years. "Welcoming the members of the PCH Federal Credit Union into the HVFCU family," said Mary Madden, Hudson Valley Chairman and CEO, in a news article.
"Now, members of all PCHFCUs have direct contact with our Carmel and Brewster stores and more than 15 others in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster County." The Hudson Valley offices in Ulster County are in Kingston and Highland. Situated in Dutchess County are Hyde Park, Hopewell Junction, Pleasant Valley, Beacon, Wappinger, Fishskill, Poughkeepsie and Poughkeepsie.
At more than $3.6 billion in assets, Hudson Valley Federal Loan Union is one of the biggest loan facilities in the state, and serves more than 260,000 members, Morris said.
