The Hudson Hotel in New York City -
In New York I was a Nokia customer to try out their new Lumia 1020 and while I was there, Nokia accommodated me in the Hudson Hotel. It was an apartmenthouse until Morgans Hotel Group and Philippe Starck pumping in 125 million in 2000 and turning it into a trendy hotel.
Hostel is situated in the middle town of Manhattan on Ninth Avenue and58th Avenue just a few steps from Central Park, Columbus Circle and the theaters. Hudson announce that they "represent the next wave of chic cheap: classy, democratically, young at heart and absolutely cool". but the hotel isn't for everyone.
You were shocked by the lively, chartreuse-colored, neon-lit corridors (just like the escalators that take you to the culminating Hudson Lord's Louvre, in a literal and visual sense). As I was working in my room, I was smelling smoky cigarettes, which came either through the ventilation shaft of the A/C system or the tears underneath, I phoned and asked if this was a hotel that smoked.
However, once in the rooms in a contemporary atmosphere you have the feeling of a different hotel. The whole thing is completed by the impressive designs of the night table lights by UK X-ray artist Nick Veasey. There is an empty refrigerator that must have been filled with liquor when the hotel opened but was probably too expensive to wait for - so the hotel just kept it.
There were many expatriates in the hotel - especially in Europe. All in all I had a funny at the Hudson Hotel and it is in a good position but I would not suggest it to family or serious businesspassen.
