This is Hawkins New York: Curated lifestyle brand and design store in Hudson, NY

The cooperation begins with amazement for Nick Blaine and Paul Denoly. A co-founder of Hawkins New York, a Hudson-based designer and curator ial style label and store, they work with manufacturers and design professionals to bring their design and idea to life. Out of the wish to embellish their Dutch colonial farm house from the 1750s with contemporary but ageless accents, the couple began to design their own line of furnishings and decorations that combine contemporary sensibility with the highest degree of sophistication and value.

Influenced above all by Nordic and Japaneese designs, this esteem for ease at the top of their range combines Nick's minimalistic styling with Paul's maximumist tastes without forgoing cleanliness or colour. Buyers will find Workstead industry lights, handmade pieces of art by Fern NYC and Slowood Studios of Hudson, and a line of their own, from canvas cushions and hand-cast pots to recycling glass goods and metalwork.

"we' re thinking of adding to all the antiques outlets on Warren Street," says Paul. Hawkins New York items are now on sale to 80 outlets across the nation after almost two years of opening, much of the increase being due to the pair's organically grown relationships with them.

"An open discussion with folks who come off the streets can turn into something amazing," says Nick. "We' re letting destiny take its course," Paul added. Originally, Hawkins New York came from Nick and Paul's Hudson house. Loving the chance to discover their creative potential and experimentation with designs as a partner, Nick and Paul have worked with other manufacturers to give their own work a new angle.

Hand-woven cushions by Brooklyn fabric specialist and design partner Hawkins, are part of a three-pillow-collektion. "It is always the stars of our house," says Nick, who finds that the couple's first line of products was concentrated on eating and kitchen appliances. "They' re feeling fashionable, but not as pure as without a soul," Paul states.

"Both in the shop and in our home, we like to combine antiques and antiques with contemporary articles and styling," says Nick. "â??We like the blend of wooden choices and the spacious strength of the designs - a true workman,â? says Nick. "Paul, who, together with Nick, thinks that rose and grey are redefined neutrally in a smooth and symmetrical colour range, says "Pump up the pink".

"It is one of our favourite things to create a texture in similar colours," says Nick. Nick and Paul are not interested in trend, but in durability that is a worthwhile thing to pass on. "I would like to go to a house in 40 years and see our glasses there," says Nick.
