The Highland is a small village (and a place of census) in Ulster County, New York, USA. The Highland is a municipality in the city of Lloyd, on U.S. Route 9W. Brown-Ellis House and Anthony Yelverton House are registered in the National Register of Historic Places[1][2] Highland is home to the Class B Baseball Section 9 Champ of 2015.

It is located on the western shore of the Hudson River. The United States Census Bureau states that the CDP has a surface area of 5.1 sq. km (13 km2), of which 4.7 sq. km (12 km2) is owned by property and 0.3 sq. km (0.78 km2) by sea.

Some 1,891 homes had 31.3% of which had under-18s, 48.0% were newlyweds who lived together, 11.7% had a housekeeper without a spouse and 36.8% were non-families. 28.5% of all homes were single persons and 8.8% had a single person aged 65 or over.
