Shire to host the sixth annual special needs pick nick

MOOLINARO is inviting young and old with particular needs, their family and charities to the 6th edition of the Needs Picnic on Tuesday 10 July from 11am to 2pm at Franklin D. Roosevelt Library & Museum's Great Lawn, 4079 Albany Post Road in Hyde Park.

Picnics are free for everyone, but bookings are necessary and can be made on-line at dutchessny.gov/picnicrsvp. It is the fruit of cooperation between several Dutch government units, such as the Community and Family Services, Public Works, Behavioural and Community Health, the Ageing Office and the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.

Others such as Cornell Cooperative Extension and Lucky Orphan's Horse Rescue have also worked with the county to make this year's pick nick a hit. This year' s pick nick also includes a farming topic that highlights the importance of farming for the Dutchess County area.

There is also a new place at this year's picnic: the Great Lawn of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library & Museum. This year' s Special Needs Picknick is sponsored by the local church and includes Barton and Loguidice, Greystone Programs, HRHCare Communities Health, HOPE (Helping Other Everywhere ), MidHudson Regional Hospital, Rhinebeck Animal Hospital, Rose & Kiernan, Rose & Kiernan, Just Gourmet and Williams Lumber & Home Center.

For companies interested in becoming a ThinkDIFFERENTLY sponsorship, call (845) 486-3568 to learn more about the sponsorship of this beloved show and other ThinkDIFFERENTLY shows throughout the year. The" ThinkDIFFERENTLY" campaign was launched in 2015 by County Executive Molinaro to promote an inviting and integrative fellowship for all individual skills.

Since then, Dutchess County has taken a number of strides towards ThinkDIFFERENTLY, which includes yearly picnics for kids with specific needs and their family. This website provides easy browsing through the extensive range of products and facilities for the needs of locals and their family. This is also a means to link the family to resource, information and church activities to improve the life of people with specific needs.
