It was a funny, historical and nice event. An entire day with a funny tourist leader and a comfortable chauffeur. Carpathians were wonderful! A very good full day outing from Bucharest to the town of Brasov, which is definitely a must for every traveler. Outstanding day trips to wonderful Transylvania.

A great day out from Bucharest to Transylvania to see palaces, cities and the wild. The travel guidebooks were both entertaining and instructive. There' s a great deal in one day, so the route necessarily goes a little fast from place to place. Initially we were to do the Sibiu & Fagaras Fortress route, but after realizing so belatedly that it was such a long 4.5 hour journey just to get there (apparently it is best to do this journey in 2 days!), we chose to alter our goal and drove to Curtea de Arges to see the Kingly Museoum, where former sovereigns are entombed.

Next to it is a wonderful Byzantine monastery with a nice gardens and an imposing sixteenth c. r. o thodox cloister. The last stop was her ostentatious villa in the town of Bucharest. Mihai, our leader, was full of information he communicated with us.
