Connecticut, New England's most southerly state, is bordered by Long Island Sound in the North, Rhode Island in the east, New York State in the North, and Massachusetts in the West. Fairfield Country's finger-like lengthening is a one-way trip from and to New York City. Conecticut is the closest state to New York, Pennsylvania and points southwards for a brief escape.

Hartford, the state' s geographic centre, is known for several arts and historical monuments, among them the Mark Twain House & Theatre.
Located in the west of the state along the east coast of the state of New York, the Litchfield area is a country haven with scenic farmhouses, hamlets, vineyards and estates, many antiques shops and fish and river-raping. The most important cities are Litchfield, Danbury, Waterbury, Bantam, Kent and Torrington.
