Although never infamous as a GLBT
travel resort destination, the Hudson Valley is none
the less known as GLBT friendly with incomparable amenities
and welcoming people just a short & easy drive north
from New York City. True, we don't have sandy beaches
or cruising promenades or endless miles of pulchritude,
but what we do have is so very much better.
The Hudson Valley is all about quiet
country lanes, cozy bed & breakfasts, unparalleled
dining, breathtaking scenery, history, world class arts
and enjoying the peace and quiet and your friends. Don't
misunderstand us, there is plenty of excitement with
dozens of fairs and festivals, the city centers and
the vibrant nightlife to keep you engaged and active.
Plus there is the majesty of the river itself, the rich
history of the region and the spectacular outdoors to
explore.

Whatever your tastes, from pounding
disco to rushing streams to quiet strolls on country
roads and forest trails, we have it in abundance. Come
spend some time in the Hudson Valley and relax.
We have begun putting together a listing
of GLBT friendly places and GLBT focused events in the
Valley for you to start your exploration of visiting
us. This is by no means a comprehensive list and is
being continually updated. But it will give you a start
and a few ideas on where to go, stay, eat and play.
Qualifying to be included in these
listings is pretty simple. We comb through various GLBT
Friendly Publications looking for businesses that are
advertising, plus whenever a business submits information
to us for inclusion we are now asking if they are GLBT
Friendly. It's a very slow process to sort thru the
tens of thousands of businesses in the Hudson Valley
and we ask for your patience as we work through this.
